Intro
Vending machines are placed in gyms and are a partnership between the gym and a nutrition company. Each nutrition company may have 2 gym partners at any one time. Fighters are given the option of whether or not they want to use a vending machine. If the manager allows them to, the fighter will occasionally buy products from the vending machine, at a cost of $5. This will given them a small benefit in stamina/strength/cardio etc, based on the type of supplement being used.
For fighters
- Tick "Use Vending" on the gympublic page to allow your fighter to use supplements from the vending machine.
- Your fighter must have at least $300 in the bank or he won't purchase anything from the vending machine.
For Nutrition Companies
- In order to become a partner with a gym, the gym will have to send you an invite. If you accept, they will be able to stock your products. This stock will NOT come out of your own stock - the gym will order their own stock from the suppliers.
- You will be able to track daily sales from your main menu.
- You cannot jump between multiple gyms, allowing them to stock up in your product. If a gym has any stock from your range, they are considered a partner until they either throw away that stock, or sell it all.
- You may partner with a maximum of 2 gyms at any one time.
- There is no geographical factor involved in your partnerships, i.e. it doesn't matter whether you partner with a company from your city or not.
For gym owners
- To get a nutrition partner, send an invitation from the vending machine page. If the nutrition company already has 2 partners, you will not be able to send them an offer.
- Once a company accepts your offer you will be notified by in game mail. You can then order stock from the same page. This stock will take 3 days to arrive from the suppliers.
- The maximum stock that any gym can hold at any one time is 500 units, including your stock room, the vending machine itself and in transit.
- Once the stock arrives you will need to transfer it from your store room to the vending machine. The vending machine has a capacity of 50 units.
- After each training session, a percentage of the fighters who are in your gym for that session will purchase products. They will just pick a product at random, so it's your job as a gym owner to stock your vending machine with the products your customers are most likely to want.
- Running costs for the vending machine are $5 per training session. This will be charged as long as you have stock in the vending machine itself.
- You may partner with one nutrition company at a time. You are considered their partner until you throw away or sell all available stock.
Label
- Vending Machine Label - this will appear on the gympublic page, in rotation with your logo. Keep the image sensible and inoffensive! When the vending machine is displayed, it will click through to your vending partner's store. Size is 102x164. The system will auto-resize but you will get better results if you upload at the right dimensions in the first place.
Ordering
You can order any products that your partner currently has in their range. It does not have to be in stock at their store. Ordering cost is $50+$1 per unit.
Store Room
- Fill: This lets you fill the vending machine with as much of a particular item as you like (taking into account it's capacity of course). Enter the value and press fill.
- Empty: Will move all that stock back into the store room, out of the vending machine.
- Trash: Throws all that stock away.
- Deliveries: Below the van is displayed any stock on order (volume), followed by the arrival date in brackets.
Supplement Effects
You can stock 3 types of products. Reduce energy loss, increase stamina & muscle bulk. The products will have roughly the same effects as the general supplements bought directly from a nutrition store.
The only slight difference is that the supplements will have the same effect no matter what you are training. Whereas a regular muscle bulk supplement will only work if you are training strength, these vending machine supplements will give a small boost to strength no matter what you're training. This applies to all 3 types of supplement.
Of course, the higher quality the supplement, the better the results. Note however, there will be some variation from session to session. Fighters may occasionally get a placebo effect or on the contrary, sometimes the supplements won't have as much of an effect as you'd expect.
Finances
- Supplements cost $50+$1 to order (paid by the gym).
- Fighters pay $5 per purchase. This purchase lasts 1 training session, equivalent to consuming 1 can of energy drink.
- $3 goes to the gym, $2 goes to the nutrition company.
- Vending machine cost - $5 per training session, paid for by gym.
- Fighters will only use the vending machine if they have at least $300 in the bank.
