The Band Toto Asia

Toto was expanding its production facilities abroad and doing business in France, Germany, Indonesia, Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and the People's Republic of China. Toto believed that North America as a growth market for Washlet bidets and toilets, as opposed to its "base" markets of Japan and China.

Dhaniram Toto recorded Toto words to ensure that the future generation could understand them. However, many of the words were replaced with foreign ones, such as dui from Bengali for verandah.

Origins

The early history of Toto which began in 1917, mirrored Japan's economic expansion. In the first half, Toto produced goods to meet the demand for modern, new urban housing. To accomplish this, it used the first tunnel kiln in the country that produced ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered automation to allow production control, which helps to increase efficiency and consistency.

In the late 1980s, the company began expanding overseas in order to profit from sales and new markets. It launched the Cera Trading Company, importing and marketing other manufacturers' products to complement its own line of plumbing fittings and sanitary earthenware. This strategy increased sales and increased the company's global market share.

In the 90s, Toto began to focus on research and development for water-related appliances. It also improved its distribution system to better meet the needs of customers and boost profits. The company embraced a just-in time method of managing supply chains, and it used the same methodology in its sales program. This resulted in a higher level customer satisfaction.

Toto continued to innovate toilet technology. Its latest toilet, for example it has a strong tornado flush that is more environmentally friendly than traditional toilets. Toto uses recycled water in its manufacturing process, and also has a green purchasing policy. Apart from toilets, Toto produces bathtubs and faucets, as well as hand dryers that are more efficient in terms of energy consumption than typical models.

The company's first museum opened in the year 2015 and features exhibits on Toto's seminal products and their evolution and its group companies (all related to ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and other products such as bath units and, in a different gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum also has bathrooms with a washbasin and other toilet innovations.

Before the formation of Toto members of the group did sessions for a variety of musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all performed on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also performed on albums by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

Discography

With a name like Asia one would expect the group to be prog queens and kings but they're actually a pretty straight forward rock band. The band was initially a four-piece and released two albums that were self-titled in 1979 and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. The band has a varied musical background, but their biggest success was in 1982 with Toto IV.

The album was a huge blockbuster but not without its issues. The record companies placed Toto under pressure to release an album that was a success or they would rescind them. Toto was able achieve this with the help from the hit song "Africa."

Toto's musical mastery owes a lot to their prior experience since the members had been session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior to forming the group. Their sonic trademark has become the standard of '80s music, influencing many contemporary artists.

The album opens up hard with tracks like Running Out of Time or Unknown Soldier that show the band's ability to create great AOR tunes that slowly creep into your head. The album also features more jazzy, slower tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album concludes with Great Expectations. This song blends folk and the distorted AOR which could sound completely wrong but actually works very well.

After Toto IV, the band's fortunes started to plummet. David Hungate left the band to focus on his solo career. The band was dominated by drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball left the band following drug-related charges. The band continued with Michael Porcaro, Steve Lukather and Michael Porcaro.

Despite the chaos, Toto forged ahead and released Isolation however, which was not as successful as IV. However, the band still was able to release a chart-topping album in 1992 with Kingdom of Desire. This album marked Toto's final lineup and the debut of Simon Phillips, a new vocalist.

Line-up

The album's third, Turn Back, marked an reversion to the classic sextet arrangement of the previous albums. It was a stronger, more consistent effort with an edge that was stronger than Hydra. Its more punk-rock sound was a reflection of the maturation of the group, with drummer Bobby Kimball's improved proficiency on the drums, as well as a more mature, confident vocal delivery by singer Joseph Williams. Keyboardist David Paich's work was more precise, sharper and less cloying than on previous performances.

After touring to promote their album, the band recorded an Amsterdam live show that was released by Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between. The group released a new studio album just a few months after and then embarked on a tour around the world to support it. During this period keyboardist Greg Phillinganes replaced Paich and bassist David Hungate quit the group to spend time with his family.

In 1998, Paich and Lukather started looking through old demo tapes and tapes to make a new album featuring songs that were never recorded before. It was released as a double-album titled Then And Now in 2001. It was the band's first album without a single song titled "A". The album also contained a previously unreleased track called "Kari-Anne".

By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial flop and singer Williams was suffering from a serious laryngitis condition which hampered his singing. Additionally, 토토 꽁머니 Hungate returned to Nashville as a drummer, and Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.

Downes along with the other original members of Asia--Wetton, Palmer, and Howe--convened a meeting in England in early 2006 to discuss the possibility of formally reforming the group. This lineup, minus Howe (who was busy with Yes at the time), eventually became known as Toto XIV and toured extensively.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, 토지노 커뮤니티, Bookmarkuse.com, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin.
