Watching seeds germinate is a fantastic activity for kids especially when they develop quickly. Alfalfa is an easy-to-grow plant that can develop within one week. For a chance to observe the seeds grow in the soil, sprinkle a few alfalfa seeds on a piece of wet paper towel.

You Will Need:
A package of Alfalfa seed (about 1.5g).
A small or small dish, or a saucer
Three paper towels
A spray mister or a small water jug

How to Grow
Wet 3 pieces of paper towels, then place them on top of one another flat on a platter.
Remove the water from the plate. The paper towel needs to be moist, but the seeds should not be floating in the water.
Sprinkle the seeds evenly on the towel.
To prevent the paper towel from drying out, put it on a window with water. Use a mister or spray bottle to dampen the seeds or add a tiny quantity of water into the saucer with a small jug or cup.
Make sure to check your seeds each day to see how they're growing.

Troubleshooting
Alfalfa seed is easy to plant and should sprout within 2 to 6 days. Here are some things to be aware of if your seeds don't germinate within this time.

Too dry. Seeds require water to develop. Alfalfa seeds absorb around half their weight in water prior to they germinate, which makes them appear to be swollen. Seeds that are too dry will not sprout. Make sure to add more water to your plate until the seeds are moist but not floating in the water. You could also soak the seeds over night; but make sure you drain them and rinse them with fresh water before spreading them onto the towel.

Too moistIf the seeds are too moist, the new roots and sprouts could begin to rot before they get a chance to grow. The seeds could also turn moldy. Although it's fine to allow the paper towel and seeds to be damp however they shouldn't be submerged in water. Each time you mist or انواع بذور البرسيم water the seeds, drain any excess water.

Too hot or cold: The best temperature for alfalfa's growth is 20-25 degrees Celsius. If you're cultivating your seeds in winter, انواع بذور البرسيم place them in a warm place indoors. If you're growing your seeds in extremely hot temperatures, it is possible to water them more frequently since they'll dry out quicker.
