Watching seeds germinate is great activity for kids, especially when the seeds sprout quickly. Alfalfa is one of the easiest seeds to grow and should sprout within one week. For a chance to observe the seeds grow, sprinkle a few alfalfa seeds onto a piece of paper towel that is damp.

What you'll need
The packet contains Alfalfa seeds (about 1.5g).
a small plate or saucer
Three pieces of paper towels
A spray mister or small water container

How to Develop
Take 3 pieces of paper towel and lay them on top each other flat on a platter.
Drain the water from the plate. The paper towel needs to be damp, but the seeds shouldn't be floating in water.
Place the seeds in a uniform manner on the towel.
Set it on a sunny window with water to stop the towel from drying. To wet seeds you can make use of a spray bottle or mister. Add water to the saucer with an ice cube or small jug.
Check your seeds every day to see how they're growing.

Troubleshooting
Alfalfa is an easy-to cultivate seed that will be able to germinate in between 2 and 6 days. If seeds don't sprout in this time There are a few possibilities of what could have gone wrong:

Too dry. Seeds require water to develop. Alfalfa seeds absorb around half their weight in water before they begin to germinate, making the appearance of swollen. Seeds that aren't dry enough do not develop. In order to ensure that your seeds don't sink in water, add more water to the plate. You can also soak your seeds for a few hours. Be sure to drain them and rinse them thoroughly before placing them to a towel.

Too wet: Seeds that are too moist could cause their roots and sprouts to rot before they can grow. It is also possible that mould could begin to develop around the seeds. It's acceptable for the paper towel to be damp but the seeds should not be floating on water. Get rid of any excess water on the dish each when you water or mist your seeds.

Too cold or too hot: بزر الملوخية Alfalfa thrives in temperatures between 20 and 25°C. If you're cultivating your seeds indoors during winter, put them in a warm area. If you're cultivating your seeds in extremely hot temperatures you may need to water them more frequently since they'll dry out quicker.
