Be aware that some parts may have superseded part numbers or may have been revised and look different to the original car parts or photos provided online. In these circumstances, the part is OK.

car junk yard Junk parts are hard to come by, when you need something in particular. These places are the best to go to, when you need something like a new car door, a hood, or anything that's a part of the exterior. You're really going to gamble when you buy parts for underneath the hood, etc, because you have no idea on how old they are going to be, or if they are going to work.

Most of the large junkyards use a system called a "Hotline." If you call a junkyard and ask whether they carry a certain part, they'll check their inventory database while you're on the phone. If they don't find the part you need in their inventory, they can use their Hotline to quickly check the inventories of neighboring junkyard. A quick tip about the Hotline: ask the junkyard that is checking other yards what that particular part would have cost if they had it in their inventory. You may be able to negotiate the price with the other dealer.

Be Cash and Sale Conscious: Always have lots of change available and count it before you start your sale so you will know exactly what you made. Singles and five dollar bills always go faster than you think they will. Make sure you slowly count out change to buyers in front of others. Have receipts available for those who want them and make sure that all the signs, flyers and ads for your sale state that items will be sold "as is" with no refunds possible for any reason. Never count up your cash during the sale or in front of buyers. If anyone asks how much you made, tell them you not able to share that information. Cash is king, no checks for any reason.

While there is a preference to replace your part of a ship with genuine parts, many aftermarket brands are built to OE quality standards and will suit your application just fine.

One problem with tire recycling is that it is not always cheap. You will sometimes have to pay to recycle tires, and if you are looking for a cheap way to get rid of your unwanted tires, you are going to be disappointed. However, before you rule out this option, talk to your local recycling center to see what options in your area are available.
