Troubleshooting
Alfalfa is an easy-to cultivate seed that can germinate in 2 to 6 days. Here are some signs to look out for when your seeds fail to germinate within this time.

Too dry. Seeds require water to develop. Alfalfa seeds absorb about their own weight of water before germinating, making them look like they are swollen. Seeds that aren't dry enough will not grow. To make sure the seeds do not float in the water, add more water to your plate. You could also soak your seeds for a few hours. Just make sure to drain them and rinse them well before transferring them to a towel.

Too moistIf the seeds are too moist, the new roots and sprouts could begin to rot before they are able to develop. Also, it is possible that mould will start to develop on the seeds. While it's acceptable for the paper towel as well as the seeds to be damp, they shouldn't be submerged in water. Each time you water or mist the seeds, rinse off the excess water.

Too hot or cold: The best temperature for alfalfa to grow is 20-25degC. If you're cultivating your seeds indoors during winter, تقاوى البرسيم [www.google.pt] put them in a warm area. It may be necessary to regularly water your seeds when they are grown in very hot temperatures. They'll dry more quickly.
