Seeds are a favorite of children as they germinate. This is particularly true when seeds sprout quickly. Alfalfa ( Medicago Sativa) is a simple to cultivate seed which should begin to sprout within a week. To see the seeds germinate by sprinkling a few alfalfa seeds on a piece of paper towel that is damp.

You'll require:
Alfalfa seeds are in a package (about 1.5g)
A small or small dish, or a saucer
3 pieces of paper towel
A small or spray mister water container

How to grow
Take 3 pieces of paper towel and set them on top of the other on a plate.
Then drain the water off the plate. The paper towel should be damp, however the seeds must not be floating in the water.
Sprinkle the seeds evenly on the towel.
Place on a sunny windowsill and add water to prevent the paper towel from drying out. You can use spray bottles or misters to soak the seeds or you can add a small quantity of water into the saucer by using an ice cube or a small cup.
Everyday, look over your seeds and see how they're developing.

Troubleshooting
Alfalfa is a simple to cultivate seed that will be able to germinate in between 2 and 6 days. Here are some issues to look out for in the event that your seeds do not germinate within this time.

Too dry. Seeds require water to grow. Seeds of alfalfa absorb approximately 50% of their weight in water before they sprout, making them appear swollen. If your seeds are dry, they won't germinate. Incorporate more water into the plate to make sure that the seeds are damp but not floating in the water. It is also possible to soak the seeds overnight. Just make sure to remove them and wash them thoroughly before placing them to a towel.

Too moistIf the seeds are too wet their new roots and shoots may rot before they are able to develop. The seeds can also become moldy. While it's acceptable for the paper towel as well as the seeds to be damp but they shouldn't submerge in water. Every time you water or mist seeds, بذور حشيشة السودان remove the excess water.

Too cold or hot: The best temperature for alfalfa to grow is 20-25degC. If you're growing your seed indoors in winter, place them in a cool area. It is possible that you will need to regularly water your seeds when they are grown in extremely warm temperatures. They will dry out much faster.
