A fighter's popularity in MMA Tycoon is decided by a number of factors.

• How exciting is that fighter? Does he go all out in a fight or is he cautious?
• Does he win? At the end of the day, a winning fighter is a more popular fighter.
• Does he face top opposition? The more important the fights he's winning, the more popular he will get.

Effects

A popular fighter will generate more ticket sales and more PPV sales too, making them a valuable commodity for the org owners.

New fighter boost

When creating a fighter, one of the options is to give them a boost to their popularity. This is a short-termist strategy as you don't get to spend those extra credits on actual skills but it is a worthwhile tactic if you really need an immediate boost to your fighters in game worth.
