Rotomolding begins with a mold, typically made of metal, which is full of powdered resin, usually polyethylene. The mold is then heated and rotated simultaneously along multiple axes inside an oven. While the mold rotates, the powder melts, adheres to the mold walls, and forms a standard layer. After cooling, the part is taken from the mold, producing a seamless, hollow product.
