Hints and tips on how to run a gym, provided by users of the game.

Tip #1: Run a Sparring Gym to make early profits

If you want to make early profits with gyms, run a Sparring gym or just a basic gym. These gyms usually cost about $30 a week,so it's a good idea to set your price at that. If you do this, set the capacity to an amount above 250. But not more than 500.

Tip #2: Start small and then expand

When starting a gym, expect to lose money the first few months. It is essential to minimize costs (ie. don't hire too many coaches).

Cost per week of elite coaches:

Single Elite Coach = $5,500 (Signing Fee) + $2,750 per week (wages)
Double Elite Coach = $10,000 (Signing Fee) + $5,000 per week (wages)
Triple Elite Coach = $14,500 (Signing Fee) + 7,250 per week (wages)

It's ok to taking out a loan for the first few months, but remember that loan payments must be paid each month. If the bank loan is $50,000 then each week the loan payment will be $1,057.70.

Tip #3: Run your Gym like business

Figure out what is your break-even point and set a goal to breakeven after 2 months

Break even point = Revenue / Cost = 1

Revenue = Gym Members + Vending Machine
Costs = Coach Wages + Cleaning Costs + Equipment Change + Vending Machine + Bank Loan

If the gym cannot breakeven, then there are a few options

A) Increase Fees - but no. of members maybe decrease
B) Decrease Fees - to try and attract more fighters
B) Fire Coaches
C) Reduce Cleaning Costs (Try to maintain $10 x no. fighters per week)
