WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for the latter due to the need to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader mod level upgrade [visit the following post] upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool with a button, which will display an image of the item when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current item upgrader kit level. For example weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

Upgraders for items can be found in a variety of locations, including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades must be acquired through a variety of means which is both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade system. Once a player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is true even if those items are from an entirely different set of equipment.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced also, but is only available when certain milestones are reached.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a couple of options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests are only able to be spent on gear of a specific rank, and that every rank has different requirements for upgrading. The most basic and straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests based on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities, or by taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulties to get lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with a heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

Using these new currencies isn't that difficult however, the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests only have one usage therefore it's essential to make use of them in a responsible manner. It's best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the Best item upgrade gear you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially relevant for items like rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality equipment.
