Within MMA Tycoon odds can be displayed as either American or Decimal format.

American Odds Guide

The following fight illustrates some odds you might come across.

Fantasy Fighting Championship

Chuck Liddell -150
Antonio Rogerio Nogueira +115

In the simplest terms, minus (-) means favourite and plus (+) means underdog. To explain the numbers further -

  • If the number is negative (-), you need to bet that figure to win $100. For example, at -150, you would need to bet $150 on Chuck to win $100.
  • If the number is positive (+), you need to bet $100 to win that amount. For example, at +115, you need to bet $100 on Nogueira to win $115.

In both circumstances, if your fighter wins, your original stake is also returned.

Decimal Odds Guide

This odds method is a simple multiplication and much easier to understand in principle than American Odds. The following fight illustrates some odds you might come across.

Fantasy Fighting Championship

Josh Barnett 1.8
Tim Sylvia 2.1
  • The lower the number the more likely the fighter is to win (according to the Bookies at least)!
  • In this fight, Barnett would be a very slight favourite.
  • If you bet $10 on Barnett at 1.8 and he wins, this will return $18 including your original stake ($10*1.8). Easy!
  • If you bet $10 on Sylvia and he wins, it will return $21 including your stake ($10*2.1).

Draws

If the fight ends in a draw your original stake will be returned but you will "win" nothing.
