The process of watching seeds grow is a excellent activity for children, especially when the seeds grow quickly. Alfalfa ( Medicago sativa) is an easy to grow seed that can begin to sprout within a week. For بذور برسيم مصري a chance to observe the seeds grow in the soil, sprinkle a few alfalfa seeds on a piece of paper towel that is damp.

You'll need:
A packet of Alfalfa seeds (about 1.5g).
A small dish or saucer
Three paper towels
a spray mister or small water jug

How to Grow:
Lay 3 sheets of towel on a plate.
Remove the water from the plate. The paper towel needs to be dampened, but the seeds shouldn't be floating on water.
Spread the seeds out evenly on the paper towel.
To prevent the paper towel drying out, place it on a window filled with water. Use a mister or spray bottle to dampen the seeds or gently add a small quantity of water into the saucer by using a small jug or cup.
Every day, check your seeds to see how they are developing.

Troubleshooting
Alfalfa seeds are easy to cultivate and should begin to be able to germinate in just 2-6 days. If the seeds fail to germinate during this time there are a few factors that could have gone wrong:

Too dry Seeds require water in order to develop. Alfalfa seeds absorb about their weight in water prior to sprouting, which makes them appear like they are swollen. If your seeds are dry, they won't germinate. Make sure to add more water to your plate to ensure that the seeds are wet but not floating. It is also possible to soak the seeds overnight. Be sure to remove them and wash them thoroughly before placing them onto a paper towel.

Too wet:If the seeds are moist, the new shoots and roots could become rotten before they have a chance to grow. It's also possible that mould can begin to grow around the seeds. It's fine for the paper towel to be damp however, بذور برسيم مصري the seeds shouldn't be floating in water. The excess water should be removed from the tray each time you mist or water your seeds.

Too hot or cold: The best temperature for alfalfa to grow is 20-25degC. If you are growing your seeds in winter, you can put them in a warm area inside. If you're growing your seeds in very hot temperatures, you might need to water your seeds more often because they'll dry faster.
