Children enjoy watching seeds germinate. This is especially true when seeds grow quickly. Alfalfa ( Medicago indica) is an easy to grow seed that should develop in the next week. Sprinkle a small quantity of alfalfa seeds onto a moist paper towel and watch the seeds germinate and grow.

You'll require:
Alfalfa seeds in a packet (about 1.5g)
A small dish or saucer
Three pieces of paper towels
A spray mister , or a small water container

How to Grow:
Make sure to wet three pieces of paper towel and place them on top of one another flat on a platter.
Take the water off the plate. The paper towel needs to be damp, but the seeds shouldn't be floating on water.
Place the seeds in a uniform manner on the towel.
To stop the paper towel from drying out, place it on a window and fill it with water. To wet seeds you can make use of a spray bottle or mister. You can also add water to the saucer by using either a cup or a small jug.
Everyday, look over your seeds to see if they're growing.

Troubleshooting
Alfalfa can be a very easy to cultivate plant that will begin to be able to germinate in between 2 and 6 days. Here are some things to be aware of in the event that your seeds do not germinate in this period.

Too dry: Seeds need water to grow. Alfalfa seeds absorb about their own weight in water before germinating, making them look larger. Seeds that aren't dry enough are not able to germinate. You can add more water to the plate until the seeds are moist, تقاوى برسيم حجازى but not floating in water. You could also soak your seeds overnight, but make sure you drain them and rinse them with fresh water prior to spreading them on the towel.

Too wet: Seeds that are too humid may cause their roots and their shoots to decay before they are able to develop. The seeds can also become mouldy. While it's perfectly acceptable to allow the paper towel and seeds to remain damp, they shouldn't be submerged in water. Each time you water or mist the seeds, rinse off any excess water.

Too hot or cold: The best temperature for alfalfa's growth is 20-25 degrees Celsius. If you're growing your seeds inside in winter, you should place them in a cool area. If you're cultivating your seeds in very hot temperatures, you may have to water them more frequently since they'll dry faster.
