Throughout a stay at an Encompass Health hospital, our patients receive routine visits from a physician experienced in rehabilitation and a dedicated case manager, who coordinates each patient's care and ensures all needs are met and questions answered.

There are also public facilities and non-profit organizations that provide low-cost or free substance abuse treatment in Dallas and the surrounding areas for those who could otherwise not afford it. Homeward Bound Inc and Phoenix House , are two of these organizations that provide detox, inpatient, and outpatient services in Dallas and the surrounding areas.

Teen suicide rates have ratcheted up significantly in the recent years, and was the second leading cause of death among youth ages 12-18 in 2016, according to the National Institute of Mental Health Each day more than 3,000 suicide attempts are made by teens 14-18 years of age.

At BasePoint we provide 2 levels of care: Partial Hospitalization Program and Intensive Outpatient in a safe space where teens can build trust with our team while finding Bookmarks their purpose, learning healthy boundaries and coping skills, and practicing these skills with their peers, while also addressing academics with our Education Counselor.
