Create Your Own Alfalfa Plants

Children enjoy watching seeds germinate. This is true especially when seeds germinate quickly. Alfalfa is an easy-to-grow plant that can sprout within a week. To see the seeds germinate, sprinkle a few alfalfa seeds on a piece of paper towel that is damp.

You'll require:
Alfalfa seeds in a packet (about 1.5g)
A small bowl or small plate
Three paper towels
A small spray mister or water container


How to Grow
Place 3 sheets of paper towel on a plate.
Then, drain the water out of the plate. The paper towel should be wet but the seeds shouldn't be floating in water.
Sprinkle the seeds thickly onto the towel.
Put the paper towel on a sunny window and add water to prevent the towel from drying. You can use a mister or شركات بيع بذور الخضروات spray bottle to dampen the seeds or شركات بيع بذور الخضروات add a tiny quantity of water into the saucer using a small jug or cup.
Every day, check your seeds to see how they're growing.


Troubleshooting
Alfalfa can be a very easy to cultivate plant that will begin to begin to germinate within 2-6 days. If the seeds don't germinate within this timeframe there are a few factors that could have gone wrong:

Too dry. Seeds require water to develop. Seeds of alfalfa absorb approximately 50% of their weight in water prior to they sprout, making the appearance of swollen. If the seeds you have are too dry, they won't germinate. To make sure the seeds don't float in water, add more water onto your plate. You can also soak your seeds for a few hours. Be sure to remove them from the dish and wash them thoroughly before placing them onto a paper towel.

Too moist: Seeds that are humid may cause their roots as well as their shoots to become rotten before they develop. There is also a chance that mould will start to grow on the seeds. It's fine for the paper towel to be moist but the seeds should not be floating in water. The excess water should be removed from the dish each time you mist or water your seeds.

Too cold or too hot: Alfalfa grows best in temperatures between 20 and 25°C. If you're cultivating your seeds indoors during winter, put them in a warm area. It is possible that you will need to water your seeds more frequently should you cultivate them in extremely warm temperatures. They will dry out much faster.
