Sex-linked disorders are caused by genes located on the sex chromosomes, particularly the X chromosome.
Since males have only one X chromosome, mutations in genes on this chromosome are more likely to be expressed in males compared to females who have two X chromosomes. This is why sex-linked disorders are more commonly seen in males.
