Watching seeds sprout is a great activity for kids and parents, particularly when seeds develop quickly. Alfalfa ( Medicago Sativa) is a simple to cultivate seed which should develop in the next week. To observe the seeds sprout, sprinkle a few alfalfa seeds over a piece of wet paper towel.

What you'll need
Alfalfa seeds are in a package (about 1.5g)
A small or small dish, بذور البرسيم الحجازي or a saucer
Three pieces of paper towels
A spray mister , or a small water container

How to grow
Put 3 sheets of paper towel on a plate.
Then drain the water off the plate. The paper towel must be dampened, but seeds shouldn't sit in water.
Spread the seeds evenly onto the towel.
Place the dish on a window with a bright sun and add water to prevent the towel from drying. It is possible to use a mister or spray bottle to moisten the seeds or you can add a small quantity of water into the saucer using a small jug or cup.
Every day, check your seeds to see how they're developing.

Troubleshooting
Alfalfa seeds are very easy to plant and بذور البرسيم الحجازي should sprout within 2 to 6 days. If seeds don't sprout within this time frame there are a few possibilities of what could have gone wrong:

Too dry: Seeds require water in order to grow. Alfalfa seeds suck up about weight in water prior to getting germinated, making them appear swollen. Seeds that are dry will not germinate. To ensure that the seeds do not float in the water, add more to your bowl. You could also soak your seeds for a few hours. But be sure to remove them from the dish and wash them well before transferring them to a towel.

Too wet:If the seeds are moist, their new shoots and roots could become rotten before they have a chance to grow. The seeds may also become moldy. It's okay for the paper towel to be moist however the seeds should not be floating on water. Each time you water or mist the seeds, rinse off the excess water.

Too hot or cold: The best temperature for alfalfa's growth is 20-25 degrees Celsius. If you are growing your seeds in winter, place them in a cool spot indoors. If you're cultivating your seeds in very hot temperatures, you might need to water the seeds more often since they'll dry out quicker.
