Path of Exile Item Upgrading

Players can upgrade their weapons and equipment by adding new affixes. They can also improve the base stats of the item or provide additional benefits. To upgrade an item, a player has to have it in their inventory and have access to the kiln.

Typically items with weak bases (like rings) can be upgraded to a stronger base while items with strong bases such as Eth titans don't change much in their stats after being upgraded.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors trinkets, weapons, and gathering tools. They give you an attribute bonus or extra effect, while the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, found in loot, thrown away by enemies or as rewards from missions or chests. Some upgrades have additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require the equipment to be above a certain point before they are upgraded.

To upgrade an armor, weapon or other item in the game, the player must select it and then click the Upgrade button on the toolbar. This will display a preview on the right side of the screen, showing what the expected upgrade statistics will be, as well as the material or component needed to complete the upgrade.

There are three types of upgrade components: universal upgrades, prefix upgrades and suffix upgrades. Universal upgrades, like gems, can be placed on any type of equipment. They provide a smaller bonus than upgrade components that have a type restriction. Infusions are gems that are only available in equipment that is legendary or ascended. They provide the same benefits as jewels, however they cannot be used in any other equipment. Suffix upgrades, which can be placed in gathering tools, will include their name at the end of the name of the item they are attached to, for instance adding an Glyph to the Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor would transform it into a Canthan Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor.

In the case of upgrades to gather tools, if a player replaces one glyph by another the old glyph will be returned to the inventory. However, replacing any other upgrade component can destroy it, with the exception of the inscriptions that can be swapped.

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade process differs from previous versions in some key ways. Gear is now classified into tracks and each item is able to be upgraded as many times before it is "leveled out." The upgrade cost is increased with each level, but the required materials aren't as high. This allows players to focus their efforts on a handful of key items and maximize their impact instead of spreading the upgrade costs across multiple pieces.

If an item upgrader mod (Recommended Reading) is leveled out, it will be eligible for a new set of upgrade items components, and a boost in the chance that the upgrade will succeed. This bonus is referred to as the Artisan's Energy, and it will reset to zero in the event of failure, or increases when the upgrade succeeds.

When a piece is upgraded to the maximum level, it is able to get the affixes needed to enhance its abilities. The number of affixes available will depend on the item's type. For example, a rare or unique weapon with a normal base will have only two affixes available for it and legendary armors can have up to eight affixes available for it.

Each upgrade process requires a certain number of Flightstones or Crests, depending on the type of item at its current level, and in which slot it is located in. Weapons usually require more Flightstones than other equipment.

If an item does not get to its maximum level The NPC will offer the player the option to transfer it to another character and then re-infuse it with a different set of upgrades. The process can take as long as two hours and will cost the same amount of materials, though it will result in lower chances of success.

To determine the height of a building engineers use an instrument to compare the measurement to an established reference point, such as a benchmark or the ground's elevation. This process is called a "level loop." This involves taking readings using the level, backsighting rod and then turning the level to take the foresighting rod reading. This method ensures that the buildings are constructed with an extremely high level of accuracy and security.

Rerolling

Rerolling refers to the process of altering the upgrade components of an item. It is a very important element of the game, and it can improve the strength, damage or other characteristics. This can be done through the menu for items or by using the Reroll button on an upgraded item. Rerolling items can be costly and should be used sparingly.

The game allows players to recycle upgraded items, and use them to acquire tokens for rerolls. These tokens can be used to upgrade either the original item or a comparable item. Recyclable items come with an indicator that indicates the level of upgrade. The amount of level that has been filled is based on the rarity and upgrade cost of the item level upgrade.

Prior to this, certain upgrades were given priority affixes, which made them easier for players to roll. It meant that you'd get the most crucial stats for your build more often than others. These included things like the armor's total armor, thorns, and duration reduction stats that are controlled or the weapon's bonus attack speed and critical strike chance.

This has changed since the most recent patch. Priority affixes are no longer required and all upgrades will have the same chance of rolling for all stats. This can be a good or bad thing dependent on your needs and wants from your equipment.

Each upgraded item may have a unique bonus that increases the power of the item by a fixed percentage or flat value. These bonuses are rolled into the usual affixes. The more you upgrade a product, the higher your chances of receiving the bonus of a different kind.

The game also comes with various sets which give a set bonus when three or more upgraded items from the same set are placed on an item. This is an excellent method to add lots of power to a specific character without spending a lot of money.

Many players opt to reroll their equipment and weapons, particularly in the early stages of the game. Rerolling is a method to create a more powerful character faster, allowing players to advance in the game and reach higher levels.

Sets

Sets are collections of elements that can be organized in different ways. They can be of various dimensions, contain none at all, or have a single element. They can be used for organizing data or sorting information. They can also be used to analyze patterns. Sets can be classified in many ways in terms of size and shape.

There are a range of set items to upgrade in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Certain items are worth upgrading and others aren't. Armor sets that provide high defense values or set bonuses are generally worth upgrading. However, weapon upgrades often do not improve the item's stats much in comparison to their purple counterparts. This makes them less attractive to upgrade if your collection of armor and weapons pieces is already huge.

Set items can be upgraded to include special procs that are useful for certain builds. This is evident in Aldur's Advance Boots and Guillaume's Face. Both were upgraded from Exceptional Winged Helm and Exceptional Mirrored Boots respectively, boosting their defense by 217 to 321 (Strength requirement and Level requirement were increased as well).

Upgrades can also be done to bring certain items to the level of the different tiers. The Immortal King Set, for instance, comes with a wide range of levels, from 29 to 75. The upgrade of lower-level items in the set can increase their defense and increase their competitiveness in terms of damage.

Clicking the Upgrade button will show the attributes of the item and the necessary items needed to upgrade it. The item will be displayed with its features, as well as the items needed to upgrade it. To upgrade the No-mouth Face for instance, 1.1K Scrap Materials will be required, as well as 250 Enchanted Dust and 5 Glowing Shards. Players can also look up the upgrade requirements for specific items at the Cyrodiil Golden vendor or Leaderboard.

In general, armor and weapons have a higher trade value when they are fully updated. Upgrades to gold are recommended for weapons that have spells or glyphs that damage weapons. This will result in a significant increase in their stats. This will also boost the defense of armor with an updated appearance.
